Maybe a bit later in the cycle or on Surface 4 since the Surface 3 has it. They have discontinued the Surface Pro 3 and have replaced it with the Surface Pro 4.

Unfortunately I will continue to wait and instead keep using my Thinkpad X1 Carbon which has integrated LTE

Mind boggling they wouldn't include this as an option for professionals

After 4 generations, I highly doubt Microsoft plans to release any LTE versions of these. Just go get a WiFi device from your carrier.
