Streaming Bluetooth is rather ugly with my Surface

I stream to my Bluetooth speaker in the mornings with my ipad2 or Nexus 7. Now that I have my Surface, I started to use it. It was all good setting up but after a while it began to chopping the sound up. The stream was not smooth anymore. I figured it was the Bluetooth speaker. But as it turns out, its the Surface. When the screen fades, the sound goes choppy. If I tap the screen and wake it, the sound returns to normal. MS need to fix this problem and I'm getting tired of fighting with this thing. Any ideas?

Sounds like a low power saver option - but easy fix is to just give the surface to me and forget about it....

Buy your own Surface. Seriously.

Have you checked advanced power settings to see if there is something with Bluetooth or media streaming?

I'll check that. There are a few gotchas I have yet to work out.
