Updating An AT&T Nokia Lumia over Wi-fi To Windows 10?

I apologize if this question has already been asked one thousand five hundred and twenty times, but if I were to purchase an AT&T Lumia 1520, would I be able to update it to Windows 10 over wi-fi without an AT&T sim card? I do not live in America, so that's why I want to know, cuz these phones have some pretty good prices.

Yes it will update to W10M over WiFi. Just install the Windows Upgrade Advisor App and have at it.

Awesome! I was under the impression that it would be like American carrier Android phones which are either difficult or impossible to update over wi-fi.

Really? Any Android phone I know of updates like most any other phone. (over Wi-Fi regardless of whether it's activated or not, as long as the carrier released an update)

Interesting, so why have some complained about being unable to update without an active SIM card?
