DIY Lumia 920 Desktop Stand

I was browsing through Amazon yesterday looking for something I could use at work to protect my Nokia Lumia 920 so it didn't get scratched or have stuff dropped on it on my desk (which has a mass of paper on it at the best of times). I didn't see anything particularly nice that went with the phone so in a fit of inspired madness I had the idea of making one from the kids' old Lego box. It went through a number of design changes - mainly due to me not finding bits I needed, but I really like the finished product, and both enjoyed and saved myself a few quid in the process.

Sorry the pics aren't great as the lighting was poor so I had to use flash and that spoiled the phones screen images.

As you can see, there's room at the bottom for the charger lead to remain plugged in. The stand is very sturdy and the phone is totally secure in the cradle. It would need a good wallop to knock it over. Hope you like

That's nice! I personally DIY-ed a stand for my 820. I found that when you make your own stands you feel more awesome and like your phone more

Thanks guys. Since making it I've found another one made of Lego online which is adjustable. Not sure why, but it looks good too. 1st day back at work after the holidays today so will try the stand out "in anger" for the first time.

I'm also considering how I can make one that slots into the air vent of the car. A bit trickier as the phone has to be held firmly in place without the possibility of scratching it but I have a few ideas.

Just to share my DIY origami stand for wireless charger and phone:

The origami is based on the $100 note iphone stand, but improvised to fit the charging pad behind and phone in front, folded with A4 paper.
