I recently uploaded two mp4 scientific videos to my SkyDrive account using a PC. I somehow don't get anything when I try to play the videos from both the web app and the WP app. Is the mp4 file not compatible? What are the compatible video file formats then. Any solutions please.

    WMV? That might be compatible.

Thanks, will try converting it into that file to see what'll happen. mp4 would have been much easier.

I wish WP supported more file types. It would make things easier.

D'oh, was just about to create a thread asking why I can't see some videos I loaded into skydrive. I'll look around and see if I can find a their party app that can play a varied assortment of video files.

IDK why your files won't play. I've loaded several Mp4 video via zune, and they worked fine. This files I'm using are in quicktime .

I cannot play avi file as well. I have it on my skydrive when I click the link it shows me description as document rather than playing the video.

I tried playing mp4 videos on Chrome, I couldn't play them, you will have to use IE to play videos on SkyDrive.
