OK, it was a failure. The Plasti Dip started peeling a little after a week. I don't recommend this way, unless you dont mind repainting on a weekly basis. I hope I didn't get anyone's hopes up. Sugru seems like the best temporary fix at the moment.

I don't see what's niche about the HP. It doesn't sacrifice anything compared with any other devices, nor is it priced higher. Yet, by many accounts it has the best fit, finish, and feel of any windows phone to date.

My keyboard and touchpad become unresponsive periodically, after waking up from hibernation. Also my touchpad periodically becomes slow to react to first touch. Never had these problems before this recent update. I don't regularly use multi-touch gestures, besides vertical scrolling.

No one uses their laptop in 40C heat. A house or building will knock off a minimum of 10 degrees even without air conditioning. Depending on how hydrated one is, a laptop will outlast the user in 40C heat. When the body temp reaches 41C, its considered heat stroke.

Re: Surface Book susceptibility to problems in hot climates I wasn't surprised or complaining, just giving a real world example how the environmental heat and humidity will not allow electronics to properly maintain cool running temps.
