It's a two step process.....after the sign shows up you then must press the camera button on the side of the phone. Then you'll see the countdown timer appear.

I bought two of them on Amazon. The first for $99 (a lightning deal thankfully mentioned here on WPC); but I only picked one up. Later I decided to get a second. The regular Amazon price was $149 and did not want to pay that and was able to get it for $119 a few days ago.

I do factory resets via the settings menu. The reset itself takes a couple of minutes and the Welcome screen then appears. Then it takes about fifteen or so minutes to setup and auto download my apps.

for hard reset I do "settings > about > reset your phone". Takes somewhere around ten or fifteen minutes.

Are you sure they are BT connected? Is the power light on the 360 blue? Verify your volume settings. I remember that on my original 920, the volume buttons on both the 920 and 360 were independent of each other....meaning I could raise the volume to max on the phone and then still increase it...

Sign in to your Microsoft account when prompted during the "initial setup". You will then be prompted to restore from a backup and most, if not all, of your apps will then be installed. Simplifies the whole setup.

The new OS is 8.0.10211.204 You should get an update notification in the store tile in a day or so or you can look up on this forum on how to update it on your own. I'd just a soon wait for the notice.
