An unusual problem with app updates.

Had the same issue few months ago. Don't remember the exact solution, but seem to remember you had to clear out IE and do a hard reset. Search the general Win8Phone forum, you'll find it there. Not an uncommon issue.

To be fair, to print from Apple you have to buy a compatible AirPrint printer: AirPrint Basics No such thing as magic.

    925 or z10?

I came from a BB Torch and waited for them to announce a new Torch for BB10. Instead I ended up with a 925. I spent an hour in the store moving between the Z10, Q10 and the 925. I thought I'd never give up the keyboard (I did like the Q10) but the larger screen of the 925 finally sold me. It...

    Lumia 925 and Exchange issue...

    Using Exchange 2010, no issues.

I am STILL having problems connecting to my Microsoft account email..

Are people still having issues? Just noticed that I'm losing contacts and the Microsoft Account sync setting doesn't have a contact option anymore. Only email ( no contacts, no calendar, no tasks).

Screen Protectors - Wet Vs Dry Mount

Is 'slickery' a word? Smoother than the dry types but not as slick as pure glass. It's a little softer, which is why it protects so well and even 'heals' from the dings. But yet it's very thin so its not that noticeable. Honestly I've used them since my WebOS days so it just feels normal to me!

Screen Protectors - Wet Vs Dry Mount

This is the Skinomi - always use them. Note the 'creases' are from when my phone took a nose dive off my dashboard. When applied it looks perfect!

HTC 8X to 925 convert. Need a little help!

I just installed one from Skinomi and it ROCKS. Does not obscure the screen or colors at all and is super tough. It's a bit of work to install, but well well worth it.

    is 925 / WP8 mature enough?

I switched from a BB Torch to a 925 a little over two weeks ago and I've been very satisfied with the switch. Never had a random issue with anything, reboot or otherwise. LTE is available in my area and it's wicked fast. WiFi calling works fine too. The Good: Battery life is much improved...

925, Here Drive and Car Charging

My old BB worked the same, the windshield cradle had a plug built in and then you could just plug the power into the bottom of the cradle. I was even hoping the app would just rotate so I could have the plug at the bottom, no such luck! Maybe I'll put in a request...

925, Here Drive and Car Charging

Thanks, I did eventually find the gray market. But all the reviews complain the bracket hits the camera button on the 92x series. Which probably explains why they don't sell them!

925, Here Drive and Car Charging

Yes, unfortunately I'm in the US and the wireless car charger isn't sold here...at least from what I can find.

925, Here Drive and Car Charging

I love my new 925 and I'm liking Here Drive more and more. But as others reported, it does seem to burn though the battery (and to be fair, just about every phone seems to do this when GPS is involved). At any rate, I want to charge it while driving and using the app but having the charge plug...

my experience with 925 so far

I'm sorry, I just had to laugh when I read this. I came from a blackberry where if you got 8 hours doing exactly that you were golden. And in a phone twice as thick. Two years later people complain you only get 24 hours. Not saying you're wrong, it's just interesting what people expect.

Battery life issues? Turn off double tap to wake and glance

I doubt serious battery issues have anything to do with double tap or glance. I have both active and easily get 20+ hours of battery life. BUT I sit on a strong WiFi signal all day (zero bars where I work) and just use email, Twitter, a weather app and some web surfing.

    MMS broken on Lumia 925

So to be clear, it only works on a cell signal and not WiFi - I have my WiFi calling set to 'Cellular Preferred' but it still doesn't work for me because I have ZERO cell bars where I'm at.

Battery LIfe and the Lumia 925

I'm on day three - the first day was barely 8 hours. Yesterday was about 10. Today I'm going on 11 hours and the battery app is telling me I still have 44% left! Although that's probably not entirely accurate, it's still more than I expected. I use WiFi at work (I have no cell signal) and...

Couple of Questions About Wi-Fi Calling

To answer your second question first, yes - both incoming and outgoing calls can go through WiFi. I have zero bars at home and the primary reason I have T-Mobile is for WiFi calling. It worked great on my old BB, haven't done in actually calling yet (other than a test call) with my 925 though...

    My Experience at T-Mobile

I'm hearing the same thing about BB10 - the whole 'all gestures/no buttons' design means the salespeople are steering anyone but hardcore BB users away from it. They don't want to get the return trips from users who can't figure it out.
