I found a youtube video. If you search there, there's plenty of them. I use an old credit card to slide under the old one to loosen the adhesive. If you're lucky, you'll get the old one w/o damage, and leave the adhesive behind for your replacement.

you have to take out the motherboard - it's between the MB and the screen. it's a little bit of a process, but if you google for mb or screen replacement you'll see it

Glass only is pretty hard to do on this one. Lots of LCD there to separate. Replacing the whole LCD assembly is not very hard, and the prices on the whole assembly have dropped to the point that it's hard to justify paying someone to do a glass only repair.

3M two-sided tape Sim reader failures on the 920 are a real pain. It's easier to replace the whole motherboard than just the sim reader. You can buy just the board, or a phone with a broken screen.

fonejoy.com has original parts. I haven't checked for batteries for the 950 specifically. They are in the UK though, so shipping may be costly. When I've bought things from them, they got here (US) pretty quickly.

Not too hard. Just go slow. The battery placement doesn't require much in the way of fiddling with other internals, so it's not too hard on that phone.

Worst case, replace the LCD assembly. Not too hard to do in that phone. Much easier if you buy one with a frame, but not too hard w/o frame either.

I'd say the only thing the 640XL has over the Icon is the large screen and removable SD card. Outside of those two items, IMHO, the Icon is better in all other ways. That said, they're only $80 right now, the try it out risk is pretty low.
