Verizon customer with Lumia Icon. What do i do?

If only that were an option for me. Still using the Icon, since there is very spotty coverage around here for both AT&T and T-Mobile. Verizon or US Cellular are about it in this area. Sure wish MS and Verizon were on speaking terms.

What would it take for you to come back to Windows Mobile?

A flagship on Verizon would absolutely bring me back. I think I've got about as much chance of that as I have of winning the lottery. I still fool around with my old Icon, but now that it is dead-ended....

Unsupported CU phone users: What will you do now?

Icon is what I have, Nate. It seems to be pretty stable and running quite well on 15063.138. I like the old Icon, but lets face it, its far from being a flagship at this point. Much as I prefer WM interface, I've gone to my Moto Z Force for a daily driver. I need notification support for my...

Unsupported CU phone users: What will you do now?

Nothing I can do. I'm on Verizon. End of the line, apparently.

Microsoft well known for breaking promise

Not a problem, man. Few wireless choices is the price I pay for living in the woods. Must be really bad blood between MS and Verizon for them to be willing to shut out quite a chunk of potential customers.

Microsoft well known for breaking promise

Its pretty discouraging, I've got to admit. Guess I should be able to take a hint. I use an Icon because its the highest-end (and other than the 735) only WM option available to me in Verizon country. There is no GSM coverage in my area. My phone is dead-ended, and I have no upgrade path...

Lumia Icon Insider Update stalls at 95% download

Unfortunately, I don't know of any help, but I hope someone else can assist. I can tell you that on my Icon, the latest fast ring build (15063) seems to have the old girl running better than she has in years. I had to hard reset after install in order to get bluetooth working, but other than...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

Did the reset solve the BT problem? I'm having the same issue with my Icon.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

On my Icon, I was able to pair both my Fitbit charge 2 and Garmin Fenix 3HR. I have not been able to pair my Band 2, or any other bluetooth device (that pairs through the normal process - Both the Fitbit and Garmin pair through their own apps). Attempting to pair anything through the BT page in...

What is the best build for the Icon?

I'm actually pretty optimistic about the latest fast ring build (15047) on my Icon, but in the interest of full disclosure, my Icon is no longer my daily driver (cough:android...sorry). With what testing I've done with it, however, everything seems to be working quite well. Well enough so I...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15025 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

I was forced to hard reset my Icon on this build. Absolutely refused to boot, so I had no choice. However in my case it was relatively painless (if any hard reset can be termed painless). The only problem I've noticed is that my Outlook mail was messed up, but it has been for the last few builds...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15025 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

This build appears to have hosed my trusty old Icon. Appeared to update without issue, but upon reboot, won't advance beyond the blue windows splash page. Have tried soft reboots, no joy. Guess it may be time for WDRT again, if I even decide to bother. At this point I'm pretty much done with W10...

    Upgrade help *Verizon*

I feel your pain. Verizon is the only viable option for me as well (close to zero GSM coverage here), and I've pretty much given up on windows phone as a result. Every once in a while I fire up my old Icon, but pretty much only use Android now. Thought about a 735, but its such a long ways from...

14393.693 for PC and Mobile users Available now.

Only thing I've noticed so far is that I keep getting a notification that "your outlook settings are out of date". I have no idea what this might mean......outlook seems to be functioning fine. A couple of builds back, outlook wouldn't sync at all, kept giving an error message. Never could...

    Outlook error problem

Still the same for me. I can't think of anything else to try, since full resets don't help. For the last couple of days over multiple tries, I think it might have worked twice. Have tried looking for a replacement email app, but there doesn't seem to be much out there. I have android phones, so...

    Outlook error problem

Having a problem with Outlook on my Icon. Sometimes it syncs just fine, other times I get the "Something went wrong" message, usually with Error code 0x85010014. I also have Outlook running on my PC with no problems, so I don't think its an account issue. I've tried current release, current...

How to proceed with an extra Band

Heh.....I've actually gotten quite good at this. I have several phones and like switching them out every few days. Gotten so I can set up the band (complete with custom settings, custom wallpaper, etc.) in less than 10 minutes. It gets old though, and lately I've pretty much moved on to a Charge...

    Windows 10 for Lumia Icon

I've been having issues with Outlook lately, but not sure if its specific to the latest preview build. Quite often when syncing I'm getting the error code 0x85010014, but then sometimes it seems to work fine. The reason I say might not be the latest mobile update is that I'm also having syncing...

    So what killed the Band2?

I think several factors led to the decision. First and foremost, this seems to be the direction the company is being led right now. Less emphasis on hardware, emphasis definitely on "the enterprise" and cloud. Health wearable is a niche market within a niche market (smart watches), that is...

What to buy when my 2nd Band 2 fails...

Yeah, regarding Garmin devices (specifically F3HR in my case), more like a teaspoon of salt. It works, but syncing is flaky. Sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries to get it to sync, occasionally with a large activity like a two hour bike ride or something, I have to resort to wi-fi sync. Notifications...
