Does the stock email client on Windows Phone 8 support gal lookup? I cannot seem to find it if it does.
How do you know Fleeburflurbur? He and I go way back.Yes. When you begin addressing an email and start typing a recipient, a drop-down box appears and one of the options is "search <name of exchange account> directory". So if you have, for instance, someone in your GAL named "Fleeburflurbur Poptarthead" you would start typing F-L-E-E and then hit "search <name of exchange account> directory"; it would then either resolve the name or present you a list of matching recipients.

Gmail doesn't have a GAL, however, if you store your contacts in Google and have them synced to your phone, it should bring up matching contacts when you start to type an address or name in the mail app.

Hi all,
even though this post might be considered outdated...
I see my company's directory to search for recipients. However, the search never returns a result.
I think we are using Exchange Server 2003.
Any ideas?
In Android with touchdown this worked like a charm.
Thanks!
