HP Elite x3 Not Detecting SIM

Good evening all.

I picked up a HP Elite x3 Windows Phone at a great price and they guy really took care of it.

However, I dropped in my MINT Mobile sim card and it doesn't detect it. The guy I purchased it from used it more as a small tablet and never used it on a network.

I also tried a TMobile data only sim and that didnt work.

I'm guessing the phone is locked, but not sure how to go about that. I dont see any indication that the phone is a Verizon locked phone or locked for any network. Again, not sure if I'm looking in the wrong area.

Some pointers would be great and appreciate it to get this device going!

Well guys, I figured it out after searching last night and searching again this morning. Turned out that the SIM card was sitting too loosely in the tray when inserted. I had to place to small strips of tape to hold the sim card down and then BOOM, the phone detected the SIM card.

No the phone is fully functional. Man, I miss Windows Phone.
