Locked out of my dell laptop after windows 10 update, what can i do?

I have a dell( inspiron 15) laptop, with windows 10 . After installing the update, im locked out. I called geek squad. They ran threw a few things trying to bring it back up. Had to take it in, and they told us its from the update issues, would cost a bunch to fix it! There has to be another way. Can anyone help? I would rather not have to loose everything... Thank you!

Hi, how is your computer doing? I am having problems with my Dell laptop too. The only way I could log on it was by clicking on the small icon in the lower right corner of the screen the option 'restart'. When it restarted I was able to log in. Unfortunately the laptop continues switching off after the short time.
