Curious aren't their typically multiple versions of a Lumia device worldwide? Is there an international version of the 930 that is closest bands that would work on T-Mobile in the US? A while back I had a 920 on T-Mobile and 4G / LTE were good it was the complete lack of 3G that was a b!tch to deal with due to missing bands on the 920 for T-Mobile 3G network. Where I live in Ohio there is solid LTE and 4G coverage for T-Mobile so I seriously thinking of buying an unlocked 930 and giving a try. Just unsure if there are versions of the 930 or if they are all the same. Thoughts?

That could be possible. The "unicorn" 1520 is a good example of that. I think time will tell and we'll see if online stores such as Negri and Newegg carry a similar version of the 930. I would hold off on just grabbing a 930 initially, though. You should find out exactly which bands the phone carries before making a purchase just in case. I think at the very least, you probably WOULD get H+ aka 4G on the European 930, but possibly no 4G aka LTE depending on the LTE bands it has.

Definitely need the lumia 930 on T-Mobile or at least an unbranded unlocked version with the correct bands similar to the 1520.3 which appears to work great with T-Mobile.

I'm using a 521 with 8.1 update 1 and need a upgrade... MetroPCS needs to get the 735/830/930/1520. All the one by my house has is the stupid 635 its a retarded business strategy.

Dude. I will murder someone if I'm stuck with the battery hungry dp. My rage would be enough to send me right into the arms of at&t. Rather pay more a month and get a much wider device selection. Unlimited data isn't worth ****listed device support.

I share your pain. As much as I love my 925, I plan on selling both my 925 & 521 & move to AT&T upgrading to the 1520 for me and the 635 for my wife.

Hello,

I know there has been no official announcement about the Lumia 930 on T-Mobile but comparing the RF specs for the 930 to that of the 925 which I own and operate on the T-Mobile network it sure appears that the 930 should work on T-Mobile's network. Anyone have any reason to feel otherwise? In the past I ran a 920 on T-Mobile and had some issues because a few of the bands were missing but band for band the 925 and 930 overlap (with one additional UMTS band for the 930 (900Mhz).

Lumia 925 Radio Specs:
GSM:
850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
UMTS:
850, 1900, 2100 MHz

Lumia 930 Radio Specs:
GSM:
850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
UMTS:
850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz

Microsoft just needs to unlock the U.S. Radios for all carriers to make a U.S. Version of the 930. It would operate the same as any unlocked North America model phone.

Not sure where you got those numbers but you're missing 1700 which the t-mobile 925 has and the 930 doesn't. You can however get the lumia 1520 which has all the frequencies and works great, it's just a bit big...

I took the plunge with the 930 International Version bought from FGS Traders on Amazon.

I have everything working except WiFi Calling. Even Internet Sharing works.

Phone, Web, Browser, SMS, MMS all work very well.

Data - True, there is no more LTE, but with the fast processor this phone has, I have not felt any large difference between HSPA+ on the 930 vs LTE on the 1020.

I am VERY happy with the Lumia 930!!!

Totally with you on your statement! But Microsoft had still going with the carrier exclusivity based marketing strategy; which excludes everyone other then the sole carrier that contract for that particular phone model. I just hoping Microsoft will in 2015 go to an "Unlocked" models for the U.S.
