Do you think Microsoft will be able to place itself in a position where Bing can compete toe to toe with Google for dominance in the search market share?

nope. I've used Bing, almost exclusively for 10+ years and have found it to be a terrific search engine. I work in IT and have never run into a situation where I couldn't find what I wanted on Bing and had to go to Google. And, on those once-a-year instances where I struggled to find information on an obscure topic in Bing, and made a desperately futile attempt to use Google, I prefer the results in Bing.

However, when "Google" is a verb that everybody knows, good luck.
