Back in March you folks reported how US politicians brought out SONY's anticompetitive practices with Japanese representatives in the midst of discussing the trade relations:

The ABK deal goes geopolitical.

It wasn't long after that that Japan signed off on the MS ABK deal.

And now both ATLUS and SQUARE ENIX are rushing to support XBOX and GAMEPASS, the very platforms SONY paid them not to support.

No tinfoil hat needed to "suspect" that political pressure from the US (via the Japanese government) and antitrust action against SONY in the EU might be persuading the developers that circling the wagons to protect Sony and Nintendo won't be tolerated any more.

The only question now is how long this new "openness" lasts.
