the GA's aren't paid for per se by publishers/developers about to be celebrated. This industry has no chamber, academy, guild or union.
Why are you [press] advocating for the CEOs? ???? makes no sense to me. because that's basically what you're doing.

I agree with the Hollywood actor thing. Hollywood is out of place in this industry. I'm happy Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey showed up, but people were scuffed for gaming in the 90's or 2000's and still, by these people.
Except for Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio or the Friends cast, they don't even watch their own movies.
Even today it's sort of a weird, time-robbing hobby with no real reward that most people scuff at.
