unable to take screenshots

tried the old combo, the new combo ( vol up + power, right? )

and so on, no screenies were taken..

if i'd have a guess, i'd guess it stopped working after the mini update few days ago.

can anyone else confirm?

Works just fine in mine. Even after the latest update, do a soft reset man.
Hold down the volume button and power button till it turns off.
And yes volume up and power button are the right keys.
Hope you've done a hard reset after you installed the 8.1 preview for developers. It seems to have solved 90% of the bugs people are facing.
I haven't faced any problem as of yet.

What phone are you using? What app is on the screen when you are trying to do a screen shot?

I own a Lumia 1520 32 GB at&t version. Screenshot has always worked for me. Of course I did a hard reset after WP 8.1 DP install.

You will have to hard reset after installing 8.1. Just wait till WhatsApp is back and then hard reset. If you don't mind the absence of WhatsApp then just do it. Will resolve most of your issues.

yea gotta wait for it to get republished :S..

it used to work fine a week ago, kinda sucks

What phone are you using? What app is on the screen when you are trying to do a screen shot?

Lumia 1020... and not a specific app, anything, including the screen

also, u need to press both buttons at the same time(it wasnt like that in the past )

Why would they change to volume up?
Windows 8 is volume down.

Oh, I was thinking of the Start button / volume down combo.
I guess they can't use that anymore if the Start button is going away.
