Unlocked Lumia 830 and Denim Update

I have AT&T Lumia 830 and recently I unlocked it through their website.
The OS version is: 8.10.14176.243
And firmware version is: 02040.00012.14404.07019

My first question is when I unlock a phone and try to update it, still it tries to get update from AT&T? I check for update but there is no update for my phone.

Second question: I installed Lumia Camera, but when I try to lunch it, it shows an error message that I need Lumia Denim update to run it! But I have Denim, whats the problem?

it will still get whatever updates
AT&T brings out
I have HTC 8x Unlocked from Vodafone
but still rely on Voda for updates

I wonder if installing an OS with recovery tool helps here. I did manage to replace my original settings (had France apps preinstalled even when hard resetting) when going from W10M preview back to 8.1 with recovery tool on PC.

The problem you have is the same one any of us with AT&T branded 830s have. We don't really have Denim yet. We have the software portion of the update but not the firmware. You need the firmware to get all the features of Lumia Camera.

Why AT&T has not released it yet has, and will continue to, mystify us.
