video conversion help needed

i have some films on my computer that i would like to put onto my lumia 930 however i have tried several ways of converting the files but they will not play on the phone.

Can someone please give me the best quality settings that i should use when using a video conversion tool. I am using format factory at the moment.

I have tried just dragging the file from computer onto phone as i read somewhere that if its not a compatible format windows should offer to convert it but it dosent seem to be giving me the option.

Try Any video converter and select windows mobile in categories. Select appropriate resolution i.e 1920x1080 for you in the right side box

you have to pay for the full version though dont you?

The one im using (format factory) has lots of options of file types etc, just not sure which i should choose that the 930 can play.
