Why is my WhatsApp gallery not showing the thumbnails?

I just reset my device (Lumia 830, Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.494) and after I installed WhatsApp I noticed that when I wanted to send a picture or a video I could not see the thumbnails from the photos took or saved before the reset, I'm just able to see the thumbnails of those pictures that were taken after the reset. When I go to the Photos app everything seems normal.

A friend of mine had this issue. A few soft reset plus removing the app and reinstalling helped to solve the problem

So, should I remove the app, do a soft reset and then reinstall it?

Yea didn't say it should work for everyone Try another soft reset and check after an hour

I have the same problem :/ what I do now is go to the photos app and then "share" the picture I want to send
