Windows Central Question

Windows 10 build 10041. No sound.

I have built in Realtek High Defenition Audio device (VEN_10EC&DEV_0269) with latest driver available (v. 6.0.1.7458).
But I have no sound and system says that I have no audio device installed.

I`ve tried default windows driver - no result.
I`ve tried download Realtek driver from official web site - no result.
Just - no audio device.

Re: Windows 10 build 10041. No sound.

Seems to be a known issue in that build. There's a few threads around with some potential fixes you could try.

Re: Windows 10 build 10041. No sound.

HP Stream 7 and ElitePad 900 both have sound with build 10041. Had to reinstall the Bluetooth driver to get them to connect to my headset. Occasionally, they'll actually pair! What usually works is to uninstall the headset and re-pair.

Re: Windows 10 build 10041. No sound.

I had no sound on previous build using a Conexant High Definition SmartAudio , I turned off enhancements and it works with 10041.

Re: Windows 10 build 10041. No sound.

I have exactly the same problem. Sound was working until build 10041. Now no sound with "no audio output device is installed" message.
Realtek drivers fail to install.

I'm struggling almost for two months after I start to use Windows Insider and I was hoping to have a solution with Windows 10 update but NO :( Even tec support couldn't figure that out what is wrong :(
