A fix for the Win 10 for Phone loading issue

Do a reset back to factory but when doing the initial setting up do not restore you phone with your settings setup as new device. I just did that on my Lumia 1020 its working great I'd swear it's a new phone that how good it's running. I was getting the loading issue like everyone else and tried everything I could but nothing worked, until I decided to reset back to factory and setup as new device not my synced setting's and it's running like a new phone. good luck I hope this works y'all it did for me.:smile:

Hi, i too have a 1020 and can confirm what you say. I did the exact process when i installed build 10054 and it solved a host of issue i.e. When i restored from backup, i wasn't able to update/install apps that's req 1GB memory. I am yet to do this with this current build but very tempted as im having issues with onedrive/cortana showing foreign text/ images on photo app tile not displaying high res and lastly not being able to apply image to start screen.

10080 is crap. Stick with 10052.

Not if you do a hard reset back to factory and don't sync your settings then it works great just like a new phone, the loading goes away.

Glad this is the case for you but I rolled back to 8.1 as I had to do too many soft resets for my liking. Don't get me wrong though, this build is much better than 10052. Also apparently, the lower the quality of the image used for the start screen theme the less likely the bug is to occur.

This isn't in the right forum.

The 10080 is working for me after the update, reset from about and then a hard reset WITH restore. No loading screen anymore.

The first update I ended up with no pins for settings, phone, messaging apps. The reset from the About settings page with starting as new resulted in endless loading. Not until I made sure there was a backup with my new home screen layout where I did a hard reset with volume up/down/power/down that I had no more loading screen after selecting restore.

So, restoring can be done. I would recommend a restore from a hard reset after a 10 build. Not a restore with an 8.1 one.

I myself noticed awful loading for start screen all the time on my 930, ended up resetting it and it got a little better. Maybe? In the end it was still really too slow for myself so I got 8.1 back on here. Just my experience
