Windows 10 notification center troubles

So my install was good and fine, but now whenever I miss the banner for outlook emails and click on them in the notification center, it just closes and nothing happens. If I click the banner it will take the email like normal, but clicking the notification center just closes. Is there something I'm missing or should I just start using the calendar and mail app?
