Why would MS change up the way we setup family safety?

Now I have to have my kids accept an invite in order to use it.

I know there are other ways of blocking internet use, but I can do this remotely while I'm away.

I used to let my Niece and Nephews use my tablet, now I'm supposed to make a new email account for them? Just to stop them from deleting something important? Neither of them are over 7, they don't have email accounts. This seems less efficient now.

Not only do they have to accept the invitation. They can remove themselves if they want to.
