Windows 10 upgrade stuck at preparing to install.

So earlier today I started to update my Nextbook 8" tablet through windows update. Since it didn't have enough storage to perform the upgrade, I was prompted to use an SD card which I did. The update downloaded fine but now the progress bar has been stuck in the same position for over 2 hours at the "preparing for installation" stage. If I restart the tablet will the upgrade start from scratch? Help will be greatly appreciated.
