Last few days many users reported that Windows 10 forced a Nvidia 376.53 driver update.

It even installed over newest Nvidia drivers (378.xx) via Windows Update.

Anyone knows what the hell is going on? :eck:

odd, mine hadn't done that, staying on 378.49 .. which windows 10 are you running?

This is why I won't upgrade my gaming PC to Windows 10. Nvidia drivers have been horrible lately. Imagine having a 3-4 grand gaming machine and having your GPU's bricked, or any other major issue because Windows forced an update on you. It's happening as we speak. Go to the Geforce forums and read about it. Or go to the Alienware forums and read about how the Windows 10 uograde completely bricked the displays of certain laptops. This forced upgrade crap has got to stop.

I have an Alienware 18 and I've been using Windows 10 from the start with no driver issues.

I got AMD GPUs and no issues. I'll be making the move to Vega when it comes out instead of the 1080, tyvm.

Turn off driver updates in the Advanced System Settings/Devices if you don't want things to automatically update.

This is interesting. My work Dell PC is on Nvidia but I don't think I got a forced graphics card update. I will have to check. Thanks for the heads up.
