Problem: outlook.com aliases in Modern UI mail app

I created an email alias for my main outlook.com email address in IE on Windows 8 Pro. When I go to send an email, it gives me the option to use my alias as the sender address. The problem is with the Modern UI mail app. It does NOT allow me to send with my alias account. It doesn't even show that I have one, there's no option to choose another account to send with at all.

Can Outlook in Office have a live tile? That seems to be the way to go. Mail is so stifled and can't what your asking.

Maybe, I didn't want to install it since my office is 2010 and I don't trust MS to keep it up to date with win8. I guess I'll just skip using the mail app and go through IE for outlook email. I just wanted to see if this was just a problem with my PC or if that's how the mail app is for everyone.
