Windows 8.1 killed cd drive

I updated yesterday and now cd drive isn't working. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks!!

Have you updated the drivers from the vendor's website?

I had this issue when i upgraded to windows 8 , but i fixed it . What Laptop/Pc are u using ?

My webcam died after upgrading to 8.1 It doesn't even show up in device manager. Tried installing the manufactures drivers multiple times but no luck. I'd be pissed, but I rarely use the cam on my laptop
