when i first set up my lumia 920, i used my google email. i bought most of my paid apps with that same microsoft account using my google email. i have another hotmail account that i would like to use as my microsoft account in my lumia 920. but if i do that then i will have to buy all the apps that i already bought with my google mail microsoft account. so my question is, how would i switch my bought apps to my hotmail account if i wanted to switch over to full microsoft services from gmail?

If you sign into Outlook.com or Hotmail.com with the gmail email address and password, then you should be able to do it.

Click the settings (gear) icon in the upper right, then MORE MAIL SETTINGS.

Under MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT, go to "Your Email Accounts".

I use my Outlook.com address to send and receive from numerous email addresses. There are lots of great options there.

did that and i cant rename the it. this is the error i get "The email address associated with your Microsoft account can't be changed "

but my question wasnt about changing my email, my question was about if i used my hotmail account instead of my gmail account that i originally used on my lumia 920 and bought apps under, is it possible to use those same bought apps with my hotmail account? if not then the switch from google to microsoft services isnt as seemless as it is made out to be. because i would then have to rebuy those apps.
