New WP8 Weather App

Hi guys! Happy to announce my 5th app since I started developing last year from Bob Tabor's tutorials. With each of my apps, I discover new APIs and learn more and more about design and code architecture. This time around I explored Scheduled Task APIs to support LiveTile update. The project is called Meteo and it's a simple weather app with easy to use and proud to say beautiful UI. Love the Panorama control! Here are the interface:

The current weather condition with 4 days forecast in one page. Background color adapts with current condition.




The cities list:


The map view. Tap and hold on map to search local weather



Livetile. Only small and medium are supported as of now (top two tiles on screen)


You can choose to adapt the in app buttons to the weather:



For this first version, it will only support english. I haven't figured out the best way to implement localisation in the app as a lot of the weather data are provided in english. would love to hear your opinions and can't wait to have it the WP store!:smile:

I really like the clean interface. Only thing i would like (but can live without it) is a wide tile with 4 day forecast!

Looks very nice, clean and suits the overall WP theme. Will be on the lookout to see how you develop this app over time. Looks promising. Good work.

I also watched some of Bob Tabor's tutorials on Channel 9 out of interest and he is does a great job presenting his excercises.
