It makes sense trying alternatives, since you would need to start coc from scratch ,even if it were available on Windows.

You clearly know nothing about CoC. Clash of Clans is cross platform, I can play the same account on my iPad and my Android phone. If they ported the game to Windows, you would NOT have to start from scratch. On top of that, the Windows alternatives are complete trash in comparison.

That said, it would be nice to see it on Windows, I'd love to ditch my friggin iPad and get a Surface.

Simple reason. The devs don't want to waste their time and efforts on a 2.5% market share platform.

There is hope. If you read their history on their website they initially wanted to be a tablet first company, believing Apple's iPad was gonna be bigger than PlayStation. When this didn't happen and they had more phone players, they changed direction with pressure from their investors they ported to Google Play (Only).

So, they are also not on Amazon Android even though that would be easy to port the APK (can even be side loaded now) and a great opportunity (Kindle tablets with Amazon IAP purchasing). So who knows. I've got a feeling they are still Apple fans, but with Microsoft getting cozy with iOS fans and W10 being a huge opportunity, maybe those investors will put pressure on the developers again. Especially since their last 2 games on iOS that were beta tested in certain countries were killed off. Their last success Boom Beach is nearly on 2 years old now!

If the Supercell investors demand increased revenues next year, then porting to other platforms could be on the cards.

For Windows 10 tablets and computers, you can use blue stacks to emulate an android environment. One note: many devs don't take kindly to it, so use at your own risk.

btw, Supercell's headquarters is in Finland, not sure if that helps the long term prospects for their games being introduced on a Microsoft platform ;)

Re: why there is no clash of clans in windows app store?

You could bug the developers and get more people to do the same, to request a W10M version.

I agree. Just automate a program that spams them 24/7 and get as many people as possible to run it for like 2 days. That might work a little bit if they're already thinking about doing it...
