App Folder in store was made for WP8.0, was it? Before MS brought live folders in WP8.1 (I'm bad in history although I have lived with both of these )
Now looking back, App Folder had better user experience than live folders (IMO!). Focuses on apps in a folder. I installed it on L640/W10M(TH2.218) (listing says support: W10M, WP8.1, WP8.0) - buuuut it does not work. Creating folder - at first it looked like it's gonna fail, but was then OK. Pinning to start, with mini-icons showing content, OK. View folder - the apps can be seen for a glimpse of a second, then nothing.
a) is there any other similar app?
b) has anyone got it working on W10M?
c) does this kind of app require special permission? Can developer make similar app with public APIs?
c) could be continued in separate thread in development according to getting list of apps, their icons, grabbing current view of start screen as image as it was before launching app (for floating folder content) and mimicking tile size and position adjustment in app. I would guess that showing live tile content of another app within app is not possible...
