Turning on phone

[WPCentral Question]

I have a HTC 8X windows phone and when ever I put it on to charge it always vibrates then turns on but then turns off again. I have cleaned out the port for charger and have charged it by socket and connected to my laptop. Don't know what else to do need help to fix!!!

You probably have a faulty battery. Do you think you can manage a hard reset using the volume up down and power key whilst the phone is plugged into the charger? Can you try charging the phone by plugging it into the wall outlet?
