Nokia Lumia 1020 Full Storage? Help!

Hello,

I am just trying to figure out why my Nokia Lumia 1020 is giving me trouble with storage.

Here is what happened;
I take pictures of everything...to the point where I had to dump my phone a couple times with 20 or so gbs worth of memory.
Last week I hit my storage cap and linked it up to my computer to import all the photos. After all was said and done, I highlighted all the photos and albums like I usually do and pressed delete.
Although this time around, my phone continued to say the storage space was full!

This problem has been persisting ever since.
-I have checked everywhere for any photos, none to be found. (Except photos that appear on live tiles that are synced up to facebook)
-I have already done a soft reset of my phone.

Here is what I am looking at.
-Apps- 4 gb
-Maps- 76 mb
-Temporary Files-336 mb
*-Photos- 19gb
-Music- 796 mb
-Videos-90 mb
-Office documents- 3.3 mb
-Email+contacts- 439 mb
-Ringtones- 0kb
-System- 2 gb
-Other- 2.3 gb

Overall is this something other users had a problem with?
Is this just a bug, or am I missing something completely?

Okay, connect your phone to PC and delete your files from there, or you can go ahead and use Files if you're on the 8.1DP.

Try throwing the entire root folder into the trash bin, it will regenerate itself. If that doesn't work try synching it with the desktop app (I assume you've been going to computer, clicking on the phone and going to the pictures folder to transfer pics. Also for future try dumping before the memories dangerously full. Sometimes this can cause issues when transferring files.
