I just wanted to make sure everything on it is working fine.

    Also, are these common issues:
    Charging light indicator doesn't work
    Tablet gets warm
Screen gets randomly darker/brighter (with the same amount of light on it)

    Thanks for any help.

none of those seem to be common as far as I know.

but common issue can be where it senses a drag as a line of touches and/or register a tap as multiple taps, especially with the keyboard.

check for physical condition, that it boots, can't hurt to check the light and take it for a couple minute test drive.
worth noting that the auto-brightness isn't usually random like that, it is a bit eager to dim the display though. I keep mine on manual control.

the tablet WILL get warm when doing intense things like gaming. but normally, not really. Overheating was a problem one user here had, but I dont think its very common.

    Check the bios version.
There's an update to version A08 that alleviates initial tablet bugs.

My Dell was heating a bit until I updated the bios...
Not sure about the charge light.
Any charger with a low output may cause the light to not illuminate also.
Does the battery/power connector icon on the taskbar show activity when plugged?
