I recorded a 17 min video of a important meeting. After I hit the stop rec. button and the power button the phone became unresponsive. I had to hold the power and volume buttons down to reset and hit no to scanning my SD card and went to the vid I just took and found that it cut off after 3:30. Is there a way to get it back?

Where did you save it? To the SD card? Was the SD card full? a 17 min vid at 1080 is very large.

It was saved to the SD card and it was set to 720. I also have 2.5G of free space. I have a 635L

Have you seen if the file is larger if you copy it off the SD card to a PC, or if there is a second file the phone doesn't show? It still may have filled up the SD card and crashed and the 3.5 minutes is all you have after it tried to recover stuff.

It only shows on both files as 288 Mb for 3:58 and I don't see any hidden files in the folder. The file was saved in the camera roll folder.

I've not tried anything over a few minutes on my 928 (no SD0, but it sounds like there was a problem writing to the SD card, my first guess would have been space, but it could be a bad block or just an errant issue writing to the SD card. I'm not sure there is much you can do to get it back if it didn't write it to begin with.
