All data on SD card under "other", why ?

Today did a safe remove of SD card to test if it works in an android tablet, it worked in the tablet. And when I inserted it back into phone (Lumia 625), apps weren't recognized (had some on SD card), photos were missing, but around 4GB of space was under other.
I'm assuming all of my data(music, pictures, apps), were put under other.
Is there a solution to this, or do I have to format my SD card and import pictures from one drive, and reinstall all apps.

If you have access to a PC you can move the files back to where they belong and it should work fine.

Not sure about the apps.
