Do you have the audio book in MP3 form or have you purchased it from Audible? If it's Audible, you just simply download and install the Audible app and download your book to it.

If you have the files as an MP3 file, the easiest way to play the file is to use software on your PC to change the genre to PODCAST. You can use this with a program like Windows Media Player, or a more complex tool like MP3Tag to modify the ID3 tag of the MP3. Once the file has the PODCAST genre type, copy it onto your phone. That way, you can play the book as a podcast, using the built in Podcast app, instead of playing it as music.
