I'm upgrading from a 8gb sd card to a 32gb one. My problem is that all the apps are stored on the old sd card and the phone's memory is almost full so i can't use that to transfer from old to new. I tried copying the whole 8gb card onto my disk (including all hidden files and folders) and copying that onto the new card, (after making the phone format the new card), but nothing is showing up and when checking the card in storage sense windows only sees a couple of GB of "other" data.

Is there any way to transfer all my stuff?

The installs of the games are not the install .xap files themselves. Enable the phone to install apps to the SD card and go to the store to install again. If you are on the same Microsoft Account you still own them and don't need to repurchase any. If the app is out of publication that would be another issue.

You can go to the Store via PC browser and download the .xap setups for archiving on your computer.
