How do I get the battery to charge?

Brand new to this tablet. I can't get battery to charge. Does the tablet need to be turned off to charge? So frustrated!

We don't know what tablet you have... But that should not matter. It should charge when turned on.

Are you using the Factory supplied charger and USB cord? Different cords have the pins wired in different orders... If it is not the Factory supplied USB cord, and you don't have one, try another cord...

Also make sure the outlet is powered.

Does it say plugged in? Or no.
