I am buying either the Lumia 830 or 930. I am in Korea, and both of these variants work very well for me. (Both international versions). I'm deciding on which I should get though. Any thoughts?

Personally, the most important aspect of the phone would be the camera. I have the Lumia 1020, but its a little slow, and I have been having trouble with the usb connection, and it no longer connects to my computer.

Here are my pros and cons for both:

Lumia 830:
Pros: SD card, decent battery life, Glance, slim, light, changeable back covers
Cons: Processor, LCD as opposed to OLED, 4k video

Lumia 930
Pros: Processor, Better camera and video
Cons: Hefty size/weight, worse battery life, no glance screen

These are the more important aspects of them. I'm not sure though. I have a Lumia 735, so I know how the Snapdragon 400 performs. Definitely better than my 1020, but is the Snapdragon 800 in the Lumia 930 much better?

I don't know what I should do. The Lumia 830 is only $300 on Expansys, and the Lumia 930 is around $370 on Amazon. Is the $70 worth it?

I also am considering picking up the Lumia 1020 successor when it comes out as well.

Any thoughts?

I would go with the 830. Why? Because of the pros. Having expandable storage is good, that was for me the point of getting the 830 instead of the 930, which has some let downs. But if you want the better processor, which is definitely more powerful, and you want FHD display and 4k, and "Hey Cortana"-feature, than the 930 is the device you should go for. In the end it comes down what is really important to you. Personally, I can live with the mid-way, since SD-Card is important for me, because you're not limited to the internal storage.

Yes it's always difficult to pick.
But here some of my thought's.

Do not expect to much from 4K recording. Making a video of a few minutes is okay but the 930 will overheat and shutdown if you record more than 10-15 minutes. And 4K needs a lot of storage space. You can not store more than about 1 hour of 4K video on the 930 internal memory. And you "need" a 4k TV to "really" see the difference.

We got some reports that Expansys had great deals but there customer service is very bad.

The 830 is similar to the 735 so in that sense a 930 would be more "logic"

And the 930 supports "Hey Cortana"

I picked up the 930 because it's more "future proof" than the 830. The processor and RAM is slower and less than the 930. The camera isn't bad on the 830, but the 930 is just awesome. I personally saw the difference in price (60-70 euro price difference here in Spain) to be minimal to get a "better" device. Now, that is a lot of money! But I wanted a more powerful device. I wish the 930 had an SD card slot as well as a larger battery, but I get through a full day of use with the battery no problems, and the SD card is an issue, but oh well... Pick what's best for you! :) They're both GOOD devices.

Get the 930, why? In my case the Lumia Icon (Us version of the 930) more future proof, look, better display, maybe no SDcard, but MSFT is giving 100gb of storage, better camera, all is up to you, but, get the 930, not the 830!
