Why wont windows 7 see the client authentication certificate when connecting to wireless?

So im trying to setup certificate authentication on my enterprise wireless, I have the certificates created and deployed with all the setting configured on the radius server to authenticate the users. Everything is working on my Windows 8.1 and MAC OSX devices, but the Windows 7 devices dont seem to want to use the certificate that was created. When trying to connect i get an error, "the certificate required to connect to this network cannot be found on your computer". Ive confirmed that the user certificate is in the Personal Store and meets all of the requirements for connecting, but Windows 7 wont use it. Is it being ignored for some reason? Is there a way to force it to look at all certificates in the store?
