HELP! Windows 7 display showing a black wall

Help me, since yesterday my monitor on my pc is being weird. I can't explain it very well because I don't know how it happened. My monitor is showing all my tabs etc and just being normal but it's not using the whole screen. There's this black thing and a week ago it was just normal.

I got a from a retailer in 2009. i3 processor, Nvidia Gefore 310, packard bell.
