I have no idea how to stay on update 2?

I have downloaded update 2 with insider. Because I forgot to uninstall windows insider. My phone automatically downloaded windows 10. I haven't any ideas how to stop it.
Do I have to reset my phone?
Will this prevent any updates from windows 10?

I also want this. Got update 2 on my 1520 but don't want to update to W10.. Don't want notifications all the time to update. Have installed insider app but still get the update news.

Lol the best thing to do would be to remove windows insider (also unregister; not necessary) and hard reset the phone or use the recovery tool to reset

I have to say that at some point you will have to update, because at some point support for w8.0 and 8.1 will stop, but it might take some time before that happens.

On my Lumia 925 I've been able to stay on the GDR update 2.

I do get this on a phone restart\reboot.


By opening settings...


...and tapping on update+backup and tapping on "phone update"


Then "unticking" the box that says:
Automatically download updates if my data settings allow it.

My phone has been like this since getting update 2 prior to seeing W10 available for download.
I just don't accept the download.

The only time I see "An update is available" is if I reboot which is seldom since my phone runs very well.


Minor inconvenience that I can live with for having update 2...
