unable to rollback from wp10 to 8.1

i have nokia lumia 820,i installed latest build and now want to roll back
i tried using recovery tool its saying reading phone info please wait and i waited for long enough still no response
what should i do now to roll back?

did you try connecting the phone to the computer after you powered it off and only then press the power button?

this way the windows phone recovery tool only reads the model of the phone and then starts downloading the latest stable firmware

Try the alternative, Lumia Software Recovery Tool. Windows Phone Recovery Tool has malfunctioned for me many times.

Hi All,
I am unable to roll back from WP10 to 8.1. my device is lumia 730. it shows an error "Invalid Crc32 for file:RM1040_02040.0021.16063.0200_RETAIL_prod_signed_1001_01ESF0_000-IN.ffu."

The RM ....ffu file the program has downloaded has failed a CRC check - it's corrupt. Find that RM....ffu file, delete and try the process again.
