Why is my screen completely black?

[Windows Central Question]

I went to hit the lock button on my phone, and nothing happened. I couldnt see anything. I've tried everything to get it working and still nothing happened.

IF it has a removable battery, remove it, count 10, then put it back in & power ON.

Hold the lock button, until you feel it vibrate (soft reset), then quickly release it.
