Why FB Messenger on my WP randomly sends notification "You just joined Messenger."?

Every few days (3 times in last 10 days, to be exact) auto message that I just joined Facebook Messenger is sent to some of my FB contacts. I use FB Messenger for some time now (HTC 8X), but I'm not reinstaling it. Notification goes out with no reason, and it is anoying. Someone familiar with this problem?

I have a lumia 730 the same problem. I tried everything but still send this randomly notification. Have to uninstall the app, hope for another update to fix this bug.

I have the same problem with my Lumia 820. Seems like it has come with a recent update last month? This is really annoying for me and my friends. I have had Messenger for a long time now and my friends don't need a notification of me joining everytime I open it! Really hope that there will be a fix for this.

Had to uninstall Messenger today, started to be really embarrassing. Too bad, another major con for future use of WP...

The latest update thankfully seems to have fixed it or at least for me.
