I fear my security on my windows phone has been compromised, as details of emails and internet browsing are know to a third party.

How can I tell if I am being tracked?

I'm not sure how to tell if you're being tracked, however you might be able to do a hard reset on your phone, erasing all data and reinstalling a fresh OS, then monitoring app by app what is installed on your phone.
You MIGHT be able to check for tracking by going into your settings and turning off apps that are allowed to run in the background.

As far as a normal person is concerned you can't really spy like that.

If you have people with power after you they might just go to the source of that information not your phone specifically.

TL;DR your thinking is likely paranoid UNLESS there are details you know that you haven't let on. (we don't know your situation) but if you're an average person with average problems you're fine. Just maintain security with your online accounts and whatnot.

Do you have a Microsoft account and use it on other devices: PC's, other phones? Do you have multiple email accounts from different providers, or are you solely referring to Outlook mail and Internet Explorer use, and which providers are compromised?

The phone isn't going to be compromised. But your Microsoft account while unlikely, could be. Ensure you enable two factor authentication and then you'll be secure. Unless the intelligence agencies are after you.

It's doubtful that your phone has been compromised in such a way that your personal information has been hacked over a network. You are more likely to have posted information on public sites, social networking,or set up accounts online using the same credentials.Windows phone is generally secure itself as an operating system, but your online activity, passwords you use,and information you expose online are all vulnerable
