Antivirus

Help wanted:

I have Sophos installed on my computer, I got it for free through university. Because I have this installed I can't seem to turn Windows Defender on. I have been getting a lot of malware (I think its malware, I'm not that technically savvy, just lot of annoying programs install) when using Edge Browser.

My question is: How effective is Sophos? Should I uninstall it and just user Windows Defender? Should I purchase another antivirus software?

Hi and welcome to WindowsCentral. You should only run one antivirus software at a time, so if you are using Sophos then you should disable Windows Defender.
